WHAT THEY SAID
The head coach Jo Evans
On Emile Kennedy sit the Tigers down for four straight innings…

“She was so sharp, I thought she did a phenomenal job – just a bold performance, really. When you give up so many races early on and then when we started to take the lead, it’s like okay , let’s leave the kid there. I think she threw very well and her composure was perfect, a lot of composure in a difficult situation.”

On Rylen’s offensive production…

“She’s such a good hitter, you can’t keep that kid around for long. I think [moving her down in the lineup] caused her to relax a bit and not try to do too much, which on a day when she’s not trying to do too much, earns her two home runs. I’m really happy to see the way she pulled it off and went out and fought.”

freshman pitcher Emile Kennedy
On his performance in the circle today…

“It was a good day, coming out and giving my team a chance to come back and score points was great. I knew I was supposed to close the game, but I got called up before the scheduled date. [The quick innings] gave my team a bit of a relief and eased our backs, so we know we’re still in it and we can still win the game.”
