‘The Gray Man’, ‘Virgin River’ remain No. 1 on Netflix’s weekly English-language movie and TV series lists – Reuters

Netflix subscribers couldn’t get enough of the action in The gray man, which was the most watched title this week with 96.47 million hours viewed. Starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, the film captured the Top 10 in 93 countries.

Avid viewers might also have caught a few Easter eggsincluding Skittles, German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer and the Netflix documentary, “Don’t fuck with cats” in the film.

purple hearts collectively made romance fans swoon, entering the week’s list in second place with 48.23 million hours watched. Featuring Sophie Carson and Nicholas Galitzine, the film follows a couple who agree to marry solely for military benefits despite their many differences. The beast from the sea continued to take fans on a lively maritime adventure with an additional 21.07 million hours watched in its fourth week. Romance and action were the genres of choice for the rest of the list with Persuasion totaling 11.07 million hours, The man from Toronto firing in 7.62 million hours and red notice re-enter the list this week with 4.09 million hours viewed in tenth place.

Season 4’s shocking cliffhangers and romantic twistsVirgin River » kept fans coming back for more, with the small town drama in its second week dominating the English TV Top 10 with 87.94 million hours viewed. burning questions abound as fans prepare for Season 5, which is in production now.

Stranger Things 4″ and Hawkins’ team held on in second place with 57.72 million hours watched. New entrants to the list this week include a survivor thriller miniseries, “Keep breathing” ranked 3rd with 48.09 million hours viewed, and documentary series, “The Internet’s Most Hated Man chronicling a mother’s mission against “revenge porn king” Hunter Moore in sixth place with 24.67 million hours.

South Korean drama, “Lawyer Extraordinary Woo”, took the top spot on the non-English TV list with 65.63 million hours watched, while the Spanish thriller, ‘Alba”, came in second place with 33.52 million hours watched. New to the list this week: Turkish romantic drama, “Another self, with 18.1 million hours of views and Season 2 of the Mexican teen drama, “rebel”, with 15.31 million hours viewed.

On the list of non-English films, Argentinian crime thriller Recurrence debuted at number one with 23.16 million hours viewed, appearing in the Top 10 in 79 countries. Next lost and Intuition, Luisana Lopilato stars in the last film of this trilogy based on the novels by Florencia Etcheves. The Polish family comedy Too old for fairy tales continued with 11.45 million hours watched at number two. Elsewhere on the list: Taiwanese horror spellFilipino romantic comedy The right and Indian action-adventure RRR.
