Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Harden’s production company Hello Sunshine and Build-A-Bear Entertainment are teaming up to develop a reimagining of the classic children’s story, Goldilocks and the three bears.

The film – which marks the first feature from Hello Sunshine’s children’s and animation division – will be a modern take on the classic tale that looks at the title character as a powerful female protagonist..

Claire Curley, head of children and animation at Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine, will produce the project alongside Sharon Price John of Build-A-Bear and Patrick Hughes of Foundation Media Partners.

This is the first partnership between Hello Sunshine and Build-A-Bear, the family-branded global toy and entertainment company that is a division of Foundation Media.
