Kate Winslet returns to set after being hospitalized in new movie

Kate Winslet will resume production on her new film Lee this week, after having an accident on set.
The Easttown Mare The star fell on Sunday (September 18) while filming the historical drama in Croatia, and was taken to a nearby hospital for examination.
At the time, his representative said Deadline: “Kate slipped and was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is well and will film, as planned, this week.”
Now the Oscar-winning actress is doing well and is able to return to work, as she did not sustain any serious injuries.

In LeeWinslet stars as Lee Miller, who was a model for American voguebefore she becomes British vogueWorld War II photographer and correspondent.
The film is inspired by Miller’s son’s biography of his extraordinary life, The life of Lee Miller.
However, Winslet has made it clear that the feature is not a biopic, but a deep dive into a specific decade of her life.
In 2021, Winslet said Deadline“It’s absolutely not a biopic. Doing a story about Lee’s whole life is worth a series for HBO.

“What we wanted to do was find the most interesting decade of her life, the one that defined who she was and what she became because of what she went through.
“It was the period from 1938 to 1948 that carried her through the war and her most defining period.”
Winslet added that Miller also provided a very specific perspective from the front lines of Nazi Germany, as a female photographer reporting for a women’s magazine.

“I’m surprised there hasn’t been a movie made about this amazing woman,” Kate continued. “She was misunderstood and so often seen through a man’s lens.
“What she did, as a woman photographer on the front line during World War II, [was educate] people about what really happened during the war.
“Lee was the woman who documented the war for women, through women’s eyes, for a women’s magazine.”
Alongside Winslet, the film also stars Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, That of the Crown Josh O’Connor and her Vacations co-star Jude Law.
Easttown Mare broadcast on NOW and Atlantic Sky in the UK and HBO in the USA.
