Ant-Man Star David Dastmalchian Confirms His Quantuman Fate

The ant Man star David Dastmalchian has confirmed he won’t be reprising his role as Kurt Goreshter in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Dastmalchian appeared in the first two The ant Man movies as Kurt, a thief turned security consultant and one of Ant-Man’s (Paul Rudd) closest friends.

However, unfortunately for fans of the character, it looks like Ant-Man won’t have time to socialize in the upcoming sequel.

Dastmalchian revealed his character’s fate during a red carpet interview for the premiere of Marvel’s upcoming movie moon knight series.

When asked if he was invited back for the sequel, Dastmalchian told reporters (via Screen Rant): “It doesn’t look like it… But it’s okay.

“I know they are doing something amazing. I can’t wait to see what Peyton [Reed] done then. He’s one of my favorite directors… He’s been so busy. I’ve tried to stay in touch, but he’s making an amazing movie right now.”

While Dastmalchian may not return, the same can’t be said for Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer who will reprise their roles as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne respectively.

As expected with a Marvel movie, the plot details of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are currently rare. Production began in November in London. However, filming is not yet complete.

One thing fans do know though, is that Jonathan Majors will be playing the role of the film’s main antagonist, Kang the Conqueror.

Meanwhile, ghost hunters Actor Bill Murray will also play an as-yet-unidentified villain in the upcoming sequel.

Murray surprised Marvel fans when he casually blurted out during a conversation about The Eli Manning Show in December that he would appear in the film.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on July 28, 2023.
