Cheung Wing-sing (Xiong Dai-lin)

Born to a reputable family in Foshan, Cheung did not approve of her husband Ip Man accepting challenges from kung fu opponents and participating in sparring matches. The loving mother also often hoped for a better relationship between Ip and their son, Ip Chun. Although life was much harder after Foshan fell to the Japanese, Cheung is pleased that the family became much closer. Cheung later changes her mind about kung fu and Wing Chun and becomes more supportive of Ip when she witnesses hundreds of cotton mill workers under Ip’s leadership, devoting their time to practice.
